SEAT is the only company in its sector with the full-range capacity to design, develop, manufacture and market cars in Spain. A member of the Volkswagen Group, the multinational has its headquarters in Martorell (Barcelona), exporting more than 80% of its vehicles, and is present in more than 75 countries. In 2019, the SEAT delivered a record 574,100 vehicles around the world, a 10.9 per cent increase over the previous year, the third consecutive year of double-digit growth. In the UK, SEAT sold 68,822 vehicles during the year, a 9.5 per cent increase, resulting in a 3 per cent market share.
The Leon remains the company’s best-seller with 151,900 vehicles delivered, the fourth-generation model will be revealed on the 28th January 2020, followed by the Ibiza supermini (125,300).
In its second year since launch, CUPRA sales rose by 71.4 per cent boosted by the addition of the CUPRA Ateca. In 2019, CUPRA delivered 24,700 cars.
